"Item girl" Rakhi Sawant, recently in news for supposed obscenity in her show at Kolhapur accused Mika, brother of pop singer Daler Mehendi, of molesting her at a private function here early today and her friend was also assaulted by Mika's bodyguard, police said.

Oshiwara police said a case has been registered against Mika under sections assault molestation sections of IPC.

"There is no question about me molesting her. I am feeling embarrassed about this whole affair... her boyfriend was angry because she had kissed me," Mika Singh said.

The singer had hosted a party at Someplace Else in Andheri, and Rakhi, who shot to fame with raunchy music videos, was by his side all night.

According to singer Sunidhi Chauhan, who was among the guests, "Rakhi was the one who kissed him first, she should have been sporting when he reciprocated....Mika has skin allergy and he told Rakhi not to put cake on his face, but she went ahead and applied cake on his face which probably upset him."

"Mika took advantage of our friendship and misbehaved with me. He bit my lips twice and in the process my earring broke," Sawant said.

Singh denied the charges and said Sawant had "come on to him".

Singh is expected to file for bail in a Mumbai court on Monday. In the meantime, Rakhi is waiting for "the law to take its own course. "This is not a publicity stunt. Even a woman with loose character would not want such publicity," she said.
