iPhone iWant
|
The new era in mobile phones bring to us its prime dweller. The iPhone is the latest and greatest invention for the next 5 years.iPhone combines three products, a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop. The star of the show with this mobile is certainly its capacitive touchscreen technology display. The touchscreen functionality works far better than I would have imagined. It seems to be accurate enough, but will pose a problem for people with particularly wide fingertips. The display cannot be used with a stylus, and must be relatively clean in order to function well. While touchscreen equipped mobile phones and PDAs have been around for years, the iPhone marks the first time a major manufacturer has created a device that not only relies almost exclusively on its touch screen for accessing and controlling phone features, but actually requires the user to use their finger instead of a stylus. It is really sad how some users will always attack a revolutionary product just because it is made by apple when the real reason that they attack it because they are too drugged on Microsoft products and the new Windows Mobile system.Overall the phone is sa-weet! Better camera than most phones, advanced picture viewing technology, visual voicemail, etc. I could go on for hours...however, the phone doesnt really meet the needs of business people. The iPhone introduces an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting users control everything with just their fingers. In both hardware and software, the iPhone is a truly new creation. In the technology industry, we tend to call these "1.0 products," and many savvy consumers choose to wait until a second version arrives, presumably with the original version's bugs worked out.I'm not saying wait for version 2.0. You don't need new hardware to love the phone; version 1.1 should do it.The iPhone by Apple is an evolution to the mobile communicator.Combining cellphone, email, internet and other information services with a top-notch music and video player, the iPhone positions itself as all things to the person that needs all that. The iPhone aims to enhance usability by adding more capability to a cell phone and wrapping it up with an intuitive touch screen interface.Fun new interface for navigating multimedia. Huge screen looks amazing. Terrific Web browser.Syncs well with PCs and Macs.YouTube function is great.Small, functional and useable: that’s what gadgeteers are striving for. But sometimes it must be like trying to squeeze Pavarotti into a leotard, a mission impossible if ever there was one.Functions flow seamlessly into each other.Built-in speaker for voice calling and music. The iPhone is the smartest smart phone out there. It works just like the commercials. It is that smooth and usable.

The Ever Green Maxim Magazine
Maxim Magazine aimed squarely at young men, is a glossy magazine focused on beautiful women, slick gadgets, fast cars, sports, entertainment and other male obsessions. Maxim is written for young professional men who are confident, intelligent everyday guys. Maxim is a unique combination of service journalism and irreverent humor addressing real concerns of regular guys. Its success comes from understanding that men need to know a little bit about a lot of things and MAXIM delivers this information in a witty & relevant style. Maxim addresses the real life needs of intelligent professional men in an entertaining as well as informative way.
This publication sets out to reach men in their late 20's rather than out and out lads producing a magazine that readers can grow into rather than out of. Research confirms that the mean average age for this magazine is on target at 28. It serves as both a fun and informative publication delivering a healthy balance of accessible service with a humorous tone. In addition to scantily clad cover models and plenty of revealing photo layouts, issues include reviews of the latest movies in theaters, CD, DVD along with video games and articles on how to successfully seduce women the latest styles and trends and interviews with celebrities. Maxim is the essential guide for active male consumer. Every issue features fashion, sports, gadgets, sports gear, sex advice, music & movie reviews all in an entertaining and irreverent style where humor is a key element. Other regular features include jokes, trivia, a sex column, practical advice, a sports column and more.
Maxim published by Alpha Media Group is the essential guide for active male consumer. With one of the largest male subscriber files Maxim addresses the real life needs of men in an entertaining and engaging style. I also have to admit that it is a pretty interesting magazine to read. It seldom has any long in-depth articles like Playboy, so you can pick it up anywhere and not get too absorbed. Here are some titles just to give you some examples of some of their articles. How to Fight a Duel, complete with history as well as the best ways to incite a challenge out of someone in the modern age, how to sneak into any sporting event, how to spot a 'fake' woman in a bar to avoid recreating an embarrassing scene from the "Crying Game". Another article is How to sound smart about money which gives detailed terms to throw out about stocks, bonds and interest rates to impress the unenlightened.
Like many women magazines some articles are clearly only aimed at one sex. Both how to spot a nymphomaniac and how to score at a funeral are clearly only aimed at men but how to screw with a telemarketer can be considered good advice for either men or women. One article lists the top five countries that have more women than men and possible reasons why. It could be argued that this is not a gender specific article but after reading it it becomes clear that this is telling men where to travel if you want to improve your odds of finding a woman.
Every issue of Maxim includes reviews of the latest movies, music, video games, the latest styles and trends plus interviews with celebrities. Other regular features include the best of sports, gadgets, health and fitness, fashion, sex and humor. Maxim Magazine is similar to Playboy, Penthouse and most other Magazines. I might call this a somewhat more juvenile version of Playboy, but that is not quite the most accurate description.
Subscriber Profile: · 73%- Age 18-34 · 27- Median age · $64,428- Median household income · 61%- Single · 66%- College graduate · 39%- Homeowner
It should be noted that the magazine has achieved an amazing level of success in a very short time. It came out in early 1997, and by the end of 1999 it had become the number one general interest magazine for men. They boast that on the newsstand, Maxim outsells Esquire, Rolling Stone, and Sports Illustrated magazines combined. Alpha Media Group, (formerly Dennis Publishing), publishes the two most successful modern lifestyle magazines for men in America - Maxim and Stuff - along with general interest music magazine Blender.

Making Children Learn For the Past so many years
|
NG covers a huge range of interesting topics. I like the fact that the reader can choose how deep they want to dig into the magazine.Sometimes you just want a little brain candy, so you look at the pictures and maybe read the captions. Other times you want it all, so you read every word of an article about some obscure topic like "leaf-cutting ants of the congo". No matter how you decide to use it, you're guaranteed to find something new and interesting. National Geographic is possibly the most inspiring magazine I have ever read. I started reading NatGeo as a little kid and it really instilled a taste for adventure, science, and exotic locales/cultures in me. I have never lost that interest and always thought running NatGeo would be a blast. If you are curious, have kids, or just love to look at beautiful pictures, I highly, highly recommend getting a subscription to National Geographic. I am such a fan of National Geographic magazine and I remember pouring over the National Geographic World magazine as a child. So, I had no hesitation when I received an offer for National Geographic Kids magazine. My five-year-old son loves learning about the world and will choose areas out of the encyclopedia so that we read about them together. As I filled out my order form, I envisioned spending rainy afternoons snuggled up close to my son while we read his new magazine. Now I know National Geographic is considered a “science lite” magazine meaning that while the articles are not going to be found in your average scientific journal The magazine does skirt issues relating to science, nature and the world in a way the average non-science-minded sort of person could easily understand. I really expected the children’s version of this magazine to do roughly the same, after all, I was given the promise that “NG Kids brings kids face-to-face with amazing animals, geographic adventures, incredible wonders of the deep, terrific technology and inspiring children all over the world.” If you dig far enough into the each issue, you’ll find some appropriate articles for your children. My son was fascinated with several articles including one on earthquakes, the debate about whether cats or dogs are smarter (and we learn that both are smart in their own ways) and what happens when people encroach into mountain lion habitat.Ask any person why they subscribe to National Geographic and the first word out of their mouth is usually, “The photos.” Since the magazine is so well known for their photos, you’d expect the children’s magazine to carry some of the more fun photos. The children’s version does have some of the cuter photos but, again, the colorful, splashy advertisements on the opposing page often detract from the photos themselves.

The Highly Detailed Details Magazine
|
Details Magazine is written for real men and features advice on fashion, love, women and careers. This is a magazine for intelligent men who can process more than pretty faces and fast cars, and offers in-depth exclusives with favorite artists, actors, and musicians, as well as honest looks into men's fashion. Details is smart, sexy and fun. Details explores the world for young men and is first with news on fashion, women, movies, music, and celebrities. A daring, distinctive magazine for men who are passionate about adventure, style, music, fashion, sports, politics, humor and pop culture. Each issue will satisfy all your passions. It is as smart and sophisticated as you are. On the whole, Details magazine seems to have carved out an unusual identity for itself in the world of men’s magazines. Details also has the tradition of getting recently-minted personalities to pen articles. Previous inductees include Lauren Weinberger (The Devil Wears Prada) and Mark Simpson (who coined the “metrosexual” term). Details also has the dubious honor of having a minor monopoly on stories on almost-over-the-hill personalities. In the past, Matthew McConaughey was a regular coverboy with his try-hard antics on being his generation’s next action star. Then there was this past feature on Michael Douglas as an ageing Lothario. here are quite a few magazines geared toward a primarily male audience and while there may not be as many for men as for women, men’s magazines are often more daring in what they print; appealing to the man who likes to live life a little more on the edge. One magazine like this is Details, a magazine for the trendy male. Details and its its fashion pages are mindfully straightforward and clothes are captioned, posed and shot in the same model-please-stand-sit-there style, similar to the way Men’s Health does it. Yes, it is predictable and yes, it is routine. But the flip side is, it is uncomplicated and the target-market–magazine-reading Wall Street, straight men get it.Details is an interesting magazine that caters to men of various ages and lifestyles. The main group that Details aims to capture is the 17 to 35 year- old male but there are articles in each magazine that could be appealing to men of many different ages, mostly in the middle to upper income groups. The writing in this magazine is on the edge and very blunt. It is common to find several four- letter words in many of the articles and while this doesn’t bother me at all, I know that some readers will consider it too raw, too edgy, and too explicit. Details writers have no problem telling it like it is, and this can be both good and bad depending on one’s perspective.Tired of reading magazines packed full of just ads and senseless gibberish? Then Details magazine is for you.First of all, it is one of the least expensive magazines I have subscribed to in recent years. I like to subscribe to such magazines as Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone, GQ, and a few others, but Details is the one that gets my attention.Of all the magazines I have subscribed to in the past, the top two would be Details and Rolling Stone. However, the difference between these two is that when I read Rolling Stone, I go for the pictures, and flip to musical articles that get my attention. I enjoy reading Rolling Stone, but when Details arrives at my house, I know immediately that almost an hour of my life is going to be consumed immediately by reading through the entire magazine.Almost everyone knows what I am talking about when I say that you just don't normally read the ENTIRE magazine. Sure, there are a few people out there that are media freaks and WILL read every word, but its not the norm. We read the interesting articles and save the rest for really boring days, just in case. With Details, even the small print articles, the polls, subscriber letters, etc., are exciting and interesting. The thing that I like about Details is the information that I always close the magazine with. Some would say this is useless information, and while I agree it won't get me a pay raise or a merit of honor, I think it's interesting to be able to tell something to my friends at work or my family that I know without a doubt they have never heard of. Things that make them say "MMMMM".If you like Rolling Stone, you will love Details. If you like entertainment of all types, you will love Details. Give one magazine a chance to change the entire way you look at magazines.

Spokes person of the Fashion Industry
|
Elle is a magazine that stays on the leading edge of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends. This women's magazine is published in 32 countries by Hachette Filipacchi Magazines (a French Company).Elle Magazine has become the world's leading fashion magazine for every woman in today's society. This magazine features fashion and beauty trends, lifestyles and personalities. Elle addresses new styles and runway trends in today's fashion and beauty world. Elle also includes controversial issues in contemporary society to inform their subscribers of emerging talent across all areas of popular culture.Elle magazine features runway shows and great articles for readers with sophistication. Covers cuisine and personalities and also gives you tips on travel plus guides to finding the best fashion and beauty styles to suit you. Elle brings the superstar look to the average lady and allows you to find your most beautiful self at any age.The first new fashion and style magazine. Ablaze with bold color, fresh looks, new ideas. Its what style setting women prefer to read. For a fashion magazine Elle is definitely one of the ones that includes a few real articles here and there, vs. your typical mindless fashion mag. Also, the fashion shots are artistic and creative.I would recommend Elle over many other fashion magazines. It's tasteful and doesn't contain crude sexual insight, but is entertaining and semi-factual. Article subjects differ and are constantly of interest.Elle has a memorable article in every other issue including interesting fashion and beauty tips. Elle is for affluent successful young women desiring couture fashion, beauty and fitness advice. Editorials are well written and entertaining.Elle provides what you expect from a fashion magazine - and more - catering to the fashionable, smart, sophisticated, woman interested in more than just fashion.Elle unlike other magazines, does a great job at keeping things simple. It boasts only four sections - On The Cover, Fashion, Features and Beauty and Fitness. A big thumbs up from me on this aspect. I hate it when a magazine creates 12 categories for things that can be lumped into a couple. If you're a female between the ages of 16 and 40, then the advertisements might be of interest to you. Products include make-up (Clinique, Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Maybelline); clothing (Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger); jewelry (Swatch, Piaget, Fendi); and perfume (Giorgio Armani, Dior). Nothing original - I'm sure the same ads are appearing in all of the other fashion magazines.Discover everything you need to find the look you love. From cutting-edge runway trends to stylish steals and must-have accessories, ELLE Magazine helps you create your kind of chic. Every issue is full of expert tips and secrets on hair, skin, make-up, health and fitness to keep you glowing. Elle sits somewhere between Vogue, Allure, and Marie Claire, without Vogue's coldness or narcissistic qualities, and Allure's sometimes vapid and repetitive articles about make-up trends, and with articles that are a bit more intelligent at times than Marie Claire's. I like the fact that Elle also features an "Eco" or "Green" issue that supports and gives recognition to organic cosmetics, etc.To conclude my article i would have to say, is this brain surgery? No. Is this the best magazine ever published? No. But if you like female, fashion magazines that are thick on advertisements and have an article or two that appeal to you, pick Elle up, you won't be disappointed.

Ask the 'Ask' Magazine
|
Ask investigates the world with past and present inventors, artists, and thinkers, and scientists. From the publishers of Click, Ask offers cartoons, contests, projects, Web experiments, games, and puzzles for kids ages 7 to 10. Ask is an informative, high quality magazine for children that engages them as readers and learners. Since each issue is devoted to a particular theme, my students gain indepth information about a variety of topics. They are fascinated by the attractive format -- which includes wonderful photographs, illustrations, and graphic aids that are appropriate for young readers. My students have eagerly written letters to the editor and entered the bi-monthly contests. I highly recommend Ask as an excellent magazine for school libraries, classrooms, and homes. Ask Magazine is designed to teach elementary age children about science using art and arts and crafts. Each issue has a theme and that theme is adhered to fairly strongly throughout (everything but a single page of short "how things work" articles at the front and a page of scientific question and answer at the back fits the theme). Themes tend to be less general than the themes in other children's science magazines and often take a slightly different angle than you might expect. Instead of an issue on the science of light, Ask published an issue on darkness. Other issues take a "how x works" approach; one of my favorite issues covers how our brain processes new information, or in simpler terms, how we learn. Each issue also has a cartoon that fits the theme. Although technically containing the same characters and part of an ongoing strip, I find strips tend to be independent and not linked in any real way to previous or subsequent installments. The artwork is somewhat dull and not terribly appealing, but some of the ideas and content are quite clever and make me laugh. For example, the cartoon in the issue on cars featured "grassoline" and showed a car that runs on grass. Despite the very real lack in the artwork, this cartoon was very effective. Not only was it funny, but it illustrated some engineering principles without getting technical and it also implied that alternate fuel methods were under development without getting into politics or heavy issues. Some of the cartoons are much lighter, though. The cartoon in the darkness issue showed some of the creatures you might imagine lurking about if you're afraid of the dark and the power went out. It didn't bring anything to the table other than a stab at entertainment (and, in my opinion, it failed there too). Ask is an informative, high quality magazine for children that engages them as readers and learners. Since each issue is devoted to a particular theme, my students gain indepth information about a variety of topics. They are fascinated by the attractive format which includes wonderful photographs, illustrations, and graphic aids that are appropriate for young readers. My students have eagerly written letters to the editor and entered the bi-monthly contests. I highly recommend Ask as an excellent magazine for school libraries, classrooms, and homes.Like all of the magazines from the folks that bring us Cricket and Spider, this is an attractive work, full of diverse types of stories and artwork. Unfortunately, however, too many of the children I know (my own included) find it uninteresting, perhaps due to the lack of recognizable characters or even the zing of advertising.

Samsung U600
|
Samsung’s unique Smart Surface Mounting Technology compresses powerful features within a super slim form. With a thinness of only 10.9mm, the Samsung U600 comes equipped with an integrated 3.13 mega-pixel camera with flash and 4x digital zoom for ultra sharp images. The Samsung U600 is the first of the second-generation Ultra phones to hit the market and is the replacement for the very popular Samsung D900 ultra-slim slide phone. At just 10.9 mm it’s even thinner than the D900, making it the slimmest slide phone available. It is 10 g lighter than D900 and you don’t even feel that you are carrying a cell phone in your pocket. U600 comes with an excellent music player. You can create a play list up to 30 songs. The phone supports a wide range of music formats. The music player supports a wide range of formats - MP3, ACC, ACC+ and e-AAC+ - and has very good sound reproduction. You can use the stereo headset supplied by Samsung or a wireless Bluetooth headset. You can also listen to music through the built-in loudspeaker which features a Bang & Olufsen digital power amplifier. You even have a video camera for sharp resolution recording with sound where you can enjoy the playback on the phone’s large 2.2” 262K colour QVGA TFT-LCD screen.U600 has an internal memory about 60 MB which is nearly 10 MB less then D900.The product has a memory card slot to meet your memory needs. Maximum memory support is up to 2GB. A PC data link kit is included in the sales package, for transferring music from a PC. The messaging on Samsung U600 is cool looking and it includes support for email attachments and a document viewer for viewing MS Office, PDF and HTML files. The available EDGE connection is nice for fast downloads. The phone supports Bluetooth connectivity. You can attach your phone through blue tooth for adding songs or applications. Also you can connect through USB cable which is included in the package. U600 also had a facility of TV connector. You can watch your pictures and videos directly to your TV. U600 also has a FM radio. Battery life of is 4hr in talk time and 270 hrs in standby mode. Most of all, the U600 works as a lightweight, ultra-slim, look-at-me, funky-slider kind of phone. It's got the 3 megapixel camera and the music player to back up the looks too. The 3.2-megapixel camera takes pictures in six resolutions, from 2,048x1,536 down to 320x240. Other features include a self timer, six color effects, 44 fun frames, a macro setting, multishot and mosaic shot modes, exposure metering, three image quality choices, brightness and white balance settings, an adjustable ISO, and a digital zoom. There's also a selection of camera sounds--or you can turn them off entirely. The battery is less powerful than the D900’s, but Samsung claim that battery performance has actually been improved due to a new technology called OPUS (Optimized Power Usage Solution). The navigation array is unlike anything we've seen before on a Samsung handset. Instead of the standard trapezoidal navigation toggle, the U600's is four-way circular control. It's raised slightly above the surface of the phone, so it's pretty easy to use. You also can set it to act as a shortcut to four user-defined functions. The central OK button is also tactile, but we'd prefer that it open the main menu when the phone is in standby mode rather than activating the Web browser. The keypad buttons are exposed when the slider is up and there's enough distance between the top row of keys and the boom of the slider. Though they're completely flush raised ridges between the rows give them some definition. On the other hand, they're a tad slippery so they don't lend themselves well to rapid texting or dialing. The keys are brightly backlit for dim environments and the numbers on the keys are large. Users will appreciate the slightly raised d-pad for its ability to make sliding open the phone simpler. The design is really conservative, meaning that not a lot of people should find reason to complain.

The Mother of Elegance
|
An artful fusion of materials and technology define new mid-range handsets. Nokia 6500 Slide wraps third-generation features in innovative, highly detailed design. The Nokia 6500 Silde is a tribute to high mobile technology and aesthetics. This sleek and stylish phone is easy on pocket without any compromise on features. It comes in silver and black casing and large keys make navigation easy. The Nokia 6500 Slide is one of two 6500 series devices that were announced side by side back in May of this year. Unlike the very thin and simple Nokia 6500 Classic, the Nokia 6500 Slide has a slider form factor of Nokia 6500, stainless steel body work, and an auto-focus digital camera that uses Carl Zeiss lenses. This is a great-looking phone and it’s very easy to use. If you’re looking for something more advanced then check out the Nokia 6120 classic smartphone, which has video calling and some other extra features. But if you want something a bit less complicated that looks great and still has the benefit of 3G downloads then this could be the phone for you. Designed with maximum usability in mind with large keys and ergonomically correct and balanced proportions, this phone is just what you’re looking for. The Nokia 6500 Slide mobile phone features an enthusiast-quality 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and the ability to easily share pictures, videos and even video calls on a television. The Nokia 6500 Slide brings unsurpassed levels of imaging and sharing and delivers a refined tactile experience with its elegant brushed stainless steel finish and smooth slide mechanism. Nokia 6500 slide has dual-band 3G support in addition to quad-band GSM support, Nokia 6500 slide has a built-in 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera, and a solid media player. Nokia 6500 slide is also quite attractive and uses a QVGA resolution display that can show up to 16 million different color shades. Other features of the new Nokia slider include 2.2 inch color screen with QVGA resolution, dual LED flash, 8x digital zoom, TV-Out, 2nd camera, music player and FM tuner. Measurements of the Nokia 6500 slide are 96.5×46.5×16.4mm. Fashioned to stand apart from the crowd, the Nokia 6500 slide incorporates a number of design elements not often found in a mid-range device. Ensuring that the sophisticated brushed stainless steel body retains its timeless beauty, a unique hard coating helps to prevent scuffs, scratches, and even fingerprints. Precision engineering of the slide mechanism means that the Nokia 6500 slide feels solid in the hand, yet moves with a smooth, fluid action to create a decidedly upscale user impression. The 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics found in the Nokia 6500 slide marks the first time that mid-range camera phone consumers have been able to experience the outstanding imaging capability of Carl Zeiss optics. The addition of autofocus, a dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom optimizes the Nokia 6500 slide for creating high-caliber images. Using the speed of 3G technology, these images and videos can be quickly shared with friends around the world, while the TV-out jack allows them to be instantly viewed on any television with standard RCA inputs. The TV-out feature can also be used to allow an entire group of people to simultaneously enjoy the fun of video calling. The Nokia 6500 slide has a micro USB connector to connect to a PC and you can also charge the handset via this connection. With support for Bluetooth 2.0 you can also listen to your favourite tunes wirelessly with a compatible Bluetooth headset. There may only be 20MB of memory on board, but Nokia supplies the phone with a 256MB microSD card that sits in a slot under the stainless steel battery cover. The slot can actually accept cards of up to 4GB in size and you'll certainly want to add some extra storage space to take advantage of the phone's music player. Although the music player and camera are good, the most surprising feature of all on this handset is perhaps its TV output. In the box you'll find an AV lead that connects to the headphone socket at the top of the phone. Hook it up to your TV and the phone's display will be mirrored on your telly. You can then use your TV to view photos and videos or to listen to music. It's a cutting edge feature and works surprisingly well. The phone's battery life is also good as you can get around six hours of talk time from it and the reception and call quality are also very impressive.

N81 is Out Nokia must be Proud
|
The Nokia N81 is the successor to the well loved Nokia N80. This cell has a massive 8GB of internal memory which is a great feature, but if that is not enough there is a memory card slot as well. The Nokia N81, with its slide-up technique, impresses in both looks and features. The Nokia N81 mobile phone comes with remote control, connectivity cable, compact travel charger & battery and a 2 GB MicroSD memory card. There is a feature of expandable memory as well that allows a user to add a memory card to suit their storage needs. The cell phone is available in a rich black color besides cobalt blue and graphite grey. The design is technically, one of Nokia's best and artistic, according to me. The N81 measures 17.6mm wide and weigh 140g. The shape and design of the phone is really pocket friendly. Its clean, professional, smart and a good screen for gaming facilities. There is ample buttons necessary on the main area itself to diffuse a bomb. and the key pads are nice and flat. The Nokia N81 is equipped with WLAN technology and 3G functions are also enabled. The phone focuses on the usage of media, music and the internet and comes with sophisticated and user-friendly function keys. The wide screen, which measures 2.4 inches, provides a high resolution and gives a classy viewing experience with its 16-million color display. The N81 is specifically mutlimedia and gaming based. With a 2.4-inch screen, a slider design, Nokia has been thoughtful in designing this phone in that gaming and telephony has both been smoothly fitted into its nutshell. There are two keys which perhaps act as the A and B gaming buttons above its screen, there is also a new feature that no other Nokia slider phones have had in the past. A separate keylock button has been placed to allow convenient gaming while the phone’s slider is closed. Another scoring feature of the N81 is the fact that it does not fail to entertain. The plethora of games that can be played in almost realistic modes is much enjoyable and very lively. The action packed games can be viewed in portrait or landscape mode with special effects. The Nokia n81 works on Symbian operating system that comes loaded with S60 3.1 software. The battery packs quite a punch and when fully charged, it can provide either 4 hours of GSM talk time, 3 hours of WCDMA talk time, 408 hours of standby time, 3.5 hours of QVGA video recording time, 4.5 hours of QVGA video playback time, 11.5 hours of music playback time or 6 hours of gaming time.In terms of buttons, the phone’s actual keypad has been installed based on a single platform plate which is completely different from the keypad of the N95 for example. Whilst this is so, the top end of the keypad, numbers 1, 2, 3 are very closely placed towards the bottom end of the top slider compartment, this may be a potential issue! However, apart from these minor problems, we would say that the phone itself has some good qualities, especially with Nokia introducing its new Navi wheel touch sensitive menu control, this does make the N81 quite unique. The Nseries line-up is now seeing a very amusing differentiation of its members. Nokia tries to take some devices to the mass-market using quaint designs and pushy advertising campaigns, like those of the Nokia N76. Another part of its offerings, on the contrary, is jam-packed with features, so as to meet the requirements of the users who put some thought into choosing their new phones and normally have functionality on the top of their priority lists. Since the N81 was designed with the youth in mind, it’s no wonder why it sports such curves and materials. They tried to make it both no-nonsense and flashy at the same time, and in some ways they succeeded. N81 users can get access to millions of songs through the Nokia Music Store and listen to them on the phone's built-in music player. For gaming enthusiasts, Nokia is making available the N-Gage application where users can try games for free and buy the ones they like. The reception quality provided by the N81 is up to Nokia’s standard, nothing to worry about here. The volume of ring tones, all thanks to its stereo-speakers, is over the roof, which automatically makes the N81 one of the market’s loudest devices. The vibro alert is not particularly easy to feel due to the phone’s bulky casing. The Nokia N81 is no doubt the best creation from the N-Series Pavilion.

iPhone iCrave

The new era in mobile phones bring to us its prime dweller. The iPhone is the latest and greatest invention for the next 5 years. It would be doing it a huge disservice to simply call it a mobile phone.iPhone combines three products, a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop. The most desirable phone of 2007! The stunning touchscreen user-interface of the iPhone is one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Combining a phone, music player, camera and web browser, the iPhone is a stunning device. Its only real limitations are the lack of 3G and the relatively poor camera.
